Distribution Manager

The role:
As a Distribution Manager, you are responsible for the efficacy of our commercial launch process, owning the launch of our PMS and distribution systems, as we scale across Europe, regularly launching multiple new properties per month. Moving fast and creating efficiencies will be the top of your toolkit and a “get it done” approach will be your style. The Distribution Manager will have ownership of the integrity, and optimization, of our online presence, a passion for e-commerce, and a deep understanding of the online retail market in the travel and lodging marketplace.
Furthermore, you will:
- Own setting up of PMS, RMC, CRS, and GDS systems to support success in the online distribution during pre-opening and new launch phases
- Assist with setting up new OTA channels for distribution
- Manage rate loading and maintenance of BAR strategy set out during positioning
- Co-ownership of discounting strategy, with a deep understanding of ROI from options available to us
- Oversee content optimisation and active management of this, with an aim to drive conversions
- Take ownership of distribution performance on direct and indirect channels for new customers
- Carry out regular market observations and benchmarking in order to identify trends and innovations and derive concrete recommendations for action.
Our 5-star candidate has:
- 2+ years of Hotel Distribution and/or Hospitality Commercial Management experience required (mixed-use/ Serviced Apartment experience a bonus!)
- Excellent XML feed capabilities and understanding of extranet management
- Deep understanding of online presence and of rate parity obligations and impacts
- Experience targeting both B2B & B2C clients across online channels
- Extremely technical PMS, CRS, GDS and OTA skillset, (experience using Mews, Siteminder & Duetto a bonus!)
- Analytical thinking, a quick grasp and initiative are your strengths and you enjoy working independently and creatively in a team.
- Experience in a fast-moving, start-up/scale up environment prefered but not essential
- Top-notch oral and written communication skills in English.
