Night Operations Specialist - Berlin (m/w/d)
Our Mission is to “provide an authentic 5-star experience to every single Guest at scale while leading the world’s transition to sustainable hospitality”.
About Bob W
I’m Bob W, your friend in town. I take the guesswork out of travel, blending the best of both worlds: hotel-grade consistency, local character, and a few surprises only locals would know. Every apartment is fully carbon offset and set up in Europe’s most interesting neighbourhoods, so you feel at home - just with better coffee and smarter tech. I’m building a new kind of stay: five-star comfort, local flair, and always a step ahead on sustainability. All you have to do is show up. I’ll handle the rest.
The Role
As a Night Operations Specialist, you will be the host of Bob W Berlin while the city sleeps. Combining the classic responsibilities of a hotel night auditor with the hands-on mindset of our Operations team, you will make sure our guests are well looked after and our buildings are safe, quiet and ready for the morning.
Working 23:00–07:30 (including a 30-minute break), you will be based primarily at our Alexanderplatz property (289 units) while also supporting our smaller Mitte property when needed. You will be the only Bob W team member on-site at night, so independence, good judgement and a calm, solution-oriented approach are essential. You will, however, always have the remote Guest Success team and an on-call manager available for support.
This is a hands-on role where you will move between guest service, night audit, operational tasks and incident management. In recognition of working nights, you will receive a night-work supplement on top of your base salary.
Please note that visa sponsorship or relocation support is not offered for this role.
Job Level: IC1
Annual base gross salary: €33,000

In this role, you will:
Provide world-class guest experiences, welcoming late arrivals and handling guest requests, room moves, lock-outs and access issues throughout the night.
Work closely with our remote Guest Success team, acting as their on-site point of contact for anything that requires someone physically in the building.
Perform the night audit and prepare the property for the next day, including checking arrivals, room allocations, guest details and special requests.
Be the first responder for night-time emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, water leaks, power failures and access issues.
Carry out regular building walk-throughs to make sure our properties are safe, quiet, tidy and ready for the morning.
Troubleshoot minor maintenance and technology issues and coordinate with external partners when needed.
Complete light operational tasks during quieter hours, such as preparing arrivals, checking supplies and spot-checking apartments.
Prepare a clear handover for the morning team, ensuring incidents, guest cases and open tasks are properly documented.
Help improve our night-time processes and SOPs by sharing insights and identifying opportunities to make things better.
Our 5-star candidate:
Experience in hospitality, ideally as a Night Auditor, Night Manager, Front Office/Reception Agent or Guest Service Agent. Hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
A genuine passion for creating great guest experiences and making people feel welcome and safe — even at 3 am.
Calm and confident when things don't go according to plan, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Comfortable working independently and taking full ownership of a night shift.
Strong communication, prioritisation and attention-to-detail skills.
Comfortable working with numbers and operational systems; experience with a PMS such as Mews, Apaleo or Opera is a plus.
Holds, or is willing to complete, First Aid and Fire Safety Assistant training.
Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
Based in Berlin and legally permitted to work in Germany.
Available to work full-time night shifts from 23:00–07:30, Monday–Sunday, including weekends and public holidays, with two days off per week.
A hands-on, proactive attitude — no job is too small when you're looking after a building and its guests.
We offer:
Employee stock option plan.
Unlimited holidays.
Free nights and generous discounts at Bob W locations.
Oliva mental well-being platform access.
Sports compensation.
Monthly transport compensation.
Development and growth opportunities with a discretionary L&D budget.
A multicultural, diverse, and rewarding work environment with a smart and highly motivated team.
